1. Participant Initiated Non-RID Activities (PINRA)
2. Host a Workshop and Offer RID CEUs (SIA) 
3. CEUs for Academic Coursework
4. Independent Study CEUs

RID Certification maintenance requires a total of 8.0 CEUs be accrued by an interpreter during each four-year certification cycle. Credits may be earned under the Professional Studies (PS) or General Studies (GS) content areas. For RID's explanation of professional developments opportunities as they fit into the PS or GS content area, as well as information on specialty credits such as Legal, Medical, PPO, see here.

SCRID has enacted a free CEU Benefit for active Certified and Associate SCRID members in good standing, beginning July 1, 2019. This benefit allows for one CEU sponsorship fee to be waived per fiscal year in the category of Academic Coursework or PINRA. For additional information, see here.
